Second phase polls on Friday: Citizenship amendment law polarising voters

The second of the seven-phase general elections in India will take place on Friday. The issue of citizenship is critical in constituencies going to the polls in the northeastern state of Assam. The BJP government has passed a controversial law based on religion. The Indian government has failed to give visas to Al Jazeera’s correspondents to cover this story.
