More than 110,000 Rohingya refugees live in Malaysia.
In recent years, more people have fled the violence in Myanmar and the overcrowded refugee camps in Bangladesh, risking the dangerous journey by boat to Malaysia.
But once there, they face other challenges including access to education.
Al Jazeera spoke to a Rohingya teacher who runs a school for refugee children, on the island of Langkawi. This is his story, in his own words.
